What options do you have for vision correction?

    Spectacles

Spectacles are an obvious choice for people who require a vision correction. They are available in single vision (distance or reading) powers, Bifocal and Multifocal powers.

Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) contact lenses

RGP contact lenses are prescribed for wearers who have specific prescriptions, problems with oxygen deprivation or for people who simply prefer them to soft contact lenses.

    Soft contact lenses

Soft contact lenses are available in daily, 2-weekly, monthly, 3-monthly and yearly replacement options. Wearers with simple or standard contact lens requirements are usually fitted with daily, 2-weekly or monthly replacement contact lenses. Wearers who have more complex prescriptions or unusual requirements are usually fitted with 3-monthly or yearly replacement lenses.

    Silicone Hydrogel (SiH) contact lenses

Silicone Hydrogel contact lenses have been available since the year 2000, but the material technology has moved on considerably from those days.

Early SiH technology lens types are still available, but the latest lenses from UltraVision have lower silicone content, making them less stiff and therefore maximising comfort levels. Our considerable investment in research and development has enabled us to make these lenses more comfortable, whilst maintaining the health benefits of this excellent material.

UltraVision’s New Silicone Hydrogel Contact Lenses

The new Silicone Hydrogel Definitive™ material provides a unique combination of:
• Comfort
• Wettability
• Oxygen permeability

making it ideal for all types of contact lens.
