Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I think that my eyes are too dry to wear Contact Lenses. Will I be able to wear UltraVision Silicone Hydrogel contact lenses?

A: In most cases, the Silicone Hydrogel contact lens will be an ideal choice for you. UltraVision’s Silicone Hydrogel contact Lenses are made using the Definitive™ material. This material is especially suitable for wearers with dry eyes. It has been carefully developed to have high water content and the loss of water throughout the day is kept to a minimum. The contact lens therefore remains moist and very comfortable for the wearer.

Q: I work in a dry office with air conditioning. Will I be able to wear your contact lenses every day at work?

A: UltraVision’s Silicone Hydrogel contact lenses have been carefully designed to help wearers who work in dry environments all day long. The Definitive™ material has a very high water content and retains the moisture consistently throughout the day. This prolongs the wearing time and ensures that comfort is not reduced during the day.

Q: I have been fitted with Silicone Hydrogel lenses in the past, but found them uncomfortable. Will the new HydroWave® contact lenses suit me better?

A: Many traditional silicone hydrogel contact lenses are stiff and can be uncomfortable to wear. HydroWave® lenses are made using the new Definitive™ Silicone Hydrogel material. This material has a very low modulus which means that the lenses are very flexible. This makes them very comfortable to wear as they fit gently onto your eye. The material of these contact lenses is also very moist which means that the surface of the lens is very slippery and comfortable when blinking. Many early users of this new material have reported that these lenses are the most comfortable they have worn.
